Lakeland Supply is looking for a full-time or part-time sales assistant for one of our dynamic outside sales representatives.

In this position you will be teaming up with one of our experienced outside sales representatives to support and grow existing accounts as well as identify, develop, and nurture new business opportunities.

You will work with the sales representative to:

  • Provide 1st class service to existing and new customers
  • Expand business opportunities with existing customers
  • Identify prospects and creatively market them and turn them into customers.

Job Highlights

Lakeland Supply is looking for a part-time accounting clerk to join our accounting department.

How would you like to join a Christian-based company that prides itself in leaving our customer better than they were before? We are looking for a positive team player who is goal-oriented, works independently, and enjoys a fast-paced environment.

The Accounting Clerk prepares, maintains, and processes accounting records and financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank deposits.

Monday thru Friday: 20-25 per week

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter invoices: reviews invoices and approvals and selects items for payment; prints accounts payable checks, processes ACH payments and posts wire payments; maintains and balances check registers
  • Receives and posts cash and electronic payments, ensuring accurate reporting and coding to appropriate departments, and proofs reports
  • Assists with other accounting projects and reports; trains other staff in the accounting system as needed
  • Performs other duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

  • High school diploma or GED and some specialized training
  • 2-4 years of general accounting experience
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting desired
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Paid time off
  • Demonstrates attention to detail

  • Receiving in purchase orders
  • Putting product away in storage locations

  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness

Requirements for this position are:

  • Available to work Monday thru Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a stand-up forklift
  • Ability to perform job functions in a safe and accurate manner
  • Use of an RF Scanner
  • Steel-toed shoes
