Lakeland Supply is looking for a full-time Assistant Distribution Center Manager to join our warehousing operations team.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

– Oversees and directs performance of Material Handlers

– Directs flow of warehouse operations

– Oversight of material handling equipment

Kitting & Light Assembly Supervisor (Full-Time)

The Kitting & Light Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitting and light assembly operations while leading a team of approximately eight employees. This position plans production based on customer demand, ensures materials are available, and drives operational efficiency to meet quality and delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze demand and inventory data to determine kitting production requirements.

• Assign and manage daily workloads for a team of 8 employees.

• Verify component availability and coordinate material replenishment as needed.

• Monitor productivity, quality, and accuracy of all kitting and assembly activities.

• Conduct employee training, coaching, performance appraisals, and development planning.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.

• Develop and maintain standardized workflows and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies

• Help team set up work stations and also do kit production as time allows

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience in warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, or distribution operations.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to analyze data and prioritize workload effectively.

• Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel preferred.

• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds

Success in this role will be measured by: productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, on-time completion of kitting schedules, employee performance, and process improvement results.

Flexible hours between 8am-3pm, Monday thru Friday

Approximately 15-20 hours weekly based on productions needs

  • Perform all kitting/light assembly functions as directed by supervisor
  • Complete quality assurance checks on all outbound product
  • Highly repetitive assembly and sub assembly tasks, like folding corrugated boxes, applying labels and gluing
  • All kits have work process documents to follow and step by step procedures to ensure quality control
  • Daily usage of tools like assembly jigs, staple and glue guns
  • Entry level assembly job
  • Must adhere to quality assurance standards
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and wear steal toed shoes
  • Ability to use pallet jack and proper lifting techniques
  • Meet or beat per hour productivity standards per kit
  • Must have consistent hours week to week
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
