100% Post-Consumer Recycled Materials: Many of our products are made from materials that have already been used and recycled, giving them a second life. These items are also naturally compostable and recyclable, making them a win for the planet.
Manufactured Using Renewable Energy: Sustainability starts at the source. That’s why many of our products are created using renewable energy like wind and solar, lowering their carbon footprint right from the start.
Continuous Innovation: Our commitment doesn’t stop there. Every day, we’re introducing new recyclable, compostable, and reusable products into our lineup to provide even more options for eco-conscious customers.

Energy-Efficient Lighting: We’ve upgraded our offices and warehouses with state-of-the-art LED lighting, which uses far less energy than traditional bulbs while providing superior illumination.
Roof-Top Solar Panels: With our almost 500 solar panels in place, we’re invested in reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy for years to come.
Optimized Truck Routes: Even the way we deliver is designed with sustainability in mind. By planning routes to prioritize right-hand turns, we save fuel, reduce idle times, and lower emissions. This simple but effective approach is a great example of how innovation can make an everyday process greener.
Recycling for a Circular Economy: Waste isn’t waste at Lakeland—it’s an opportunity. We recycle materials throughout our operations, from cardboard to plastics, ensuring that as much as possible gets reused instead of discarded.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to the materials we source. Here’s how we’re ensuring a renewable future:
Sustainably Sourced Corrugated Boxes: The boxes we use are made from trees grown in responsibly managed forests. These forests are cultivated with care to ensure that for every tree cut down, another is planted, maintaining a healthy balance.
U.S. Timber Growth: Did you know that standing timber in the U.S. has increased by 60% since the 1950s? We’re proud to contribute to this growth by sourcing materials responsibly and supporting sustainable forestry practices.

A Facility That Sets the Standard for Green Innovation
Our newly designed facility is more than a workplace—it’s a testament to our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Here are some of the features that make it a model for green innovation:
Wetland Conservation: We’ve preserved natural wetland areas as part of our building design, protecting habitats and promoting biodiversity.
Solar Power: With 493 solar panels on our roof, we’re reducing carbon emissions by 1,178 tons annually. That’s the same as preserving over 1,200 acres of trees every year!
Energy Efficiency at Work:
- Hydronic heating keeps our spaces warm while using less energy.
- An 18-zone HVAC system adjusts to demand, ensuring we’re only using energy where it’s needed.
- Real-time energy tracking with eGauge analytics lets us monitor and optimize our consumption in real time.
- Motion-activated LED lights and a reduced number of heating units in our distribution center have cut our energy use in half compared to our previous facility.
Sustainable Landscaping: Our prairie grass landscaping is a win-win for the environment—it doesn’t require mowing, which reduces emissions, and it helps absorb water, cutting down on runoff.
